Gyro built and rigged the large balls for the Lotto Powerball commercials.
For the Hip Hop dancer the ball was bolted with a sprung coupling to the column of the building, (along with 2 safety cables mounted through the ball itself). The dancer hung from a body harness suspended from a mobile crane at street level. In the case of the downhill runner an axle was mounted through the ball, both the ball and runner were harnessed to a flying fox rig which controlled the rate of desent down the hill, as well as keeping the runner in position ontop of the ball. |
